The Bengaluru South City Corporation will begin vehicle towing operations in the Jayanagar Zone from next week using three newly procured towing vehicles. The initiative is aimed at addressing unauthorized parking and improving traffic movement for motorists and pedestrians.

- Bengaluru South City Corporation Commissioner K.N. Ramesh and Greater Bengaluru Authority Chief Commissioner Maheswara Rao inspected the towing vehicles on June 20.
- Three towing vehicles have been procured on an outsourcing basis.
- The vehicles have received fitness certificates from the Transport Department.
- The vehicles will be formally handed over to the traffic police.
- Towing operations are scheduled to commence next week.
- The initiative is intended to curb illegal parking on major roads within the Jayanagar Zone.
- Chief Engineer Basavaraj Kabade and T.E.C. Department Executive Engineer Janardhan were present during the inspection.
