Street Vendors Restricted to Designated Vending Spaces in Gandhi Bazaar

Bengaluru Central City Corporation has directed street vendors in Gandhi Bazaar to operate only within officially marked vending spaces on footpaths, in compliance with the Hon’ble High Court’s directions.

Key Details:

• Line markings have been painted on both sides of Gandhi Bazaar Main Road footpaths to identify vending spaces.

• Street vendors must conduct business only within the designated marked areas.

• Vendors operating outside the marked zones will be removed by officials.

• The move aims to keep footpaths clear for uninterrupted pedestrian movement.

• The directions were issued by Bengaluru Central City Corporation Commissioner Jagadeesh G.

• Officials from the Kalyan Division and senior corporation officers attended the review meeting.

• The action is being implemented in compliance with the Hon’ble High Court’s directions.
