Special Drive Against Unauthorized Advertisements in East Corporation

Bengaluru East City Corporation has launched a special enforcement drive from April 5 to April 13 to remove unauthorized advertisements across key zones, with over 1,800 violations already cleared.

• 812 unauthorized flex boards removed

• Mahadevapura Zone:

Areas covered: Hoodi, Garudachar Palya, Kadugodi, Hagadur, Doddanekundi, Marathahalli, Varthur, Bellandur

• 1,060 unauthorized advertisements removed

• Total Removals (April 5–7):

1,872+ illegal advertisements cleared from roadsides, drains, public places, and major traffic corridors

Legal Enforcement:

• Unauthorized advertisements are punishable under the Karnataka Open Places (Prevention of Disfigurement) Act

• Violators may face fines and legal action

• Obtain prior permission before installing advertisement boards

• Avoid placing unauthorized banners and flex boards

• Cooperate with authorities to maintain public safety and city aesthetics
