South Corporation Initiates Property Transfer for Tax Defaulters

Bengaluru South City Corporation has initiated legal action to take over properties of tax defaulters after unsuccessful auction attempts, with 52 properties identified in the first phase for transfer to the Corporation.

• Multiple reminders sent via mobile messages

• Proclamation notices issued before auction proceedings

Auction Status:

• Distress sale initiated for identified defaulter properties

• Multiple attempts made over the past month

• No successful bidders for several properties

Phase 1 Implementation:

• Bommanahalli Zone: 22 properties

• Jayanagar Zone: 30 properties

• Total (Phase 1): 52 properties

• Bank account details of owners are being collected

• Proposal to be submitted through Additional Commissioner (Revenue)
