The Bengaluru South City Corporation has directed Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to intensify the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) house-to-house voter verification drive after progress during the first two days fell short of expectations.



Key Details:
- Additional District Election Officer K.N. Ramesh chaired a review meeting at the CIMS Auditorium, Jayanagar, on 2 July 2026.
- BLOs have been instructed to visit at least 100 households every day.
- During each visit, BLOs must distribute Enumeration Forms and collect completed voter information forms from residents.
- Officers were directed to complete all pending household visits by putting in additional effort where required.
- Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) have been instructed to closely monitor BLO field visits and accompany officers who are not meeting daily targets.
- Progress on household visits and form distribution must be reported to the State Election Commission every two hours.
- Election officials were instructed to complete the assigned targets within the stipulated timeline.
