A review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Bengaluru East City Corporation Commissioner D. S. Ramesh to assess road and infrastructure development works, process road-cutting applications submitted through the MARCCS software, and review preparations for Census-2027. The Commissioner issued directions to officials to expedite approvals and ensure timely completion of civic works.

Priority for Infrastructure Projects
Officials were instructed to complete ongoing development works on priority under the following programmes:
- Chief Minister’s Infrastructure Development Programme (CMIDP)
- Capital Support for Special Infrastructure Projects (CSSIP)
These works include road and civic infrastructure improvements within the corporation limits.


Review of Road Cutting Applications
- 51 road-cutting applications have been submitted by GAIL Company within East City Corporation limits.
- The Commissioner directed Executive Engineers to review the applications registered in the MARCCS software and grant approvals without delay.
- The objective is to facilitate gas pipeline connectivity works without disruption.
Relinquished Land Taken into Possession – Kalkere
- A 1,080 sq. metre relinquished land parcel in Kalkere, Ramamurthy Nagar Division has been taken into possession by the corporation.
- The land had been used for badminton and cricket courts by Keerthi Harmony Apartment residents.
- The land was reclaimed during an enforcement drive led by Joint Commissioner Dr. B. Sudha.


Direction to Remove Debris at Vijnapura Lake
The Commissioner inspected Vijnapura Lake and directed officials to:
- Remove illegally dumped debris, soil and waste around the lake area.
- Ensure environmental cleanliness and protection of the lake ecosystem.
Preparations for Census-2027
Officials were instructed to begin preparatory work for Census-2027, including:
- Preparation of draft house-listing maps
- Each block to cover 150–200 houses
- Three blocks per polling station list to be prepared as part of the house-listing process.
