Return Completed Enumeration Forms by August 8, Bengaluru Voters Urged

Bengaluru | July 30, 2026

District Election Officer and Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao has appealed to all voters within the Greater Bengaluru Area (GBA) to immediately submit their completed enumeration forms as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls.

Speaking at a meeting with representatives of political parties, Rao stated that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) had successfully completed the door-to-door distribution of enumeration forms to 10,388,363 voters, achieving 100 percent coverage. So far, details of 5,019,442 voters, representing 48.32 percent, have been digitised.

He urged the remaining voters to fill in the forms carefully, sign them, and return them without delay either to their respective BLOs or at designated Voter Facilitation Centres. The last date for submission is August 8, 2026.

According to Rao, voter participation is essential for the successful completion of the revision process. He cautioned that failure to submit the enumeration form could result in a voter's name being removed from the electoral roll.

To assist voters, Booth Level Centres and Voter Facilitation Centres have been established across the city to receive completed forms. Officials have also been instructed to conduct awareness campaigns using autos equipped with public address systems across all City Corporations to encourage timely submission.

Rao said that digitising a single enumeration form takes approximately four to five minutes. In polling stations where only a limited number of forms have been returned, BLOs will revisit those areas to verify whether voters are absent, have shifted residence, are deceased, or whether duplicate entries exist.

Form 6 for Missing Names After Draft Roll

After the publication of the draft electoral roll, voters are advised to verify whether their names appear on the list. Those who have changed their residence or do not find their names in the draft roll may submit Form 6, either online or offline, to include their names at their new address.

Special Intensive Revision Schedule

  • August 8, 2026: Last date for BLO door-to-door visits and submission of enumeration forms.
  • August 17, 2026: Publication of the draft electoral roll.
  • August 17 to September 16, 2026: Period for filing claims and objections.
  • October 19, 2026: Publication of the final electoral roll.

The meeting was attended by City Corporation Commissioners Pommala Sunil Kumar, Ramesh K.N., G. Jagadish, Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. Jagadish Nayak, Joint Commissioner of the Election Division Vijay, representatives of political parties, and officials from various departments.

With only a few days remaining, election officials have urged all eligible voters in the Greater Bengaluru Area to return their completed enumeration forms to ensure their names remain on the electoral roll.
