Greater Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda chaired a review meeting with senior officials today to discuss preparations for the "Freedom from Waste" campaign, which is scheduled to begin across the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) area on August 1.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary Tushar Girinath, Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao, Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board Chairperson Manjula, Special Commissioner Nitish, Municipal Commissioners Ramesh D.S., Pommala Sunil Kumar, Ramesh K.N., G. Jagadish, Dr. Rajendra K.V., Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Limited CEO Karigowda, Additional Commissioners, and Chief Engineers.

Officials from BESCOM, Bengaluru Traffic Police, Indian Railways, K-RIDE, KIADB, BDA, NHAI, and several other departments also participated in the meeting.

The meeting focused on reviewing preparedness and coordination among departments for the effective implementation of the campaign beginning on August 1.
