CM D.K. Shivakumar to Launch 'Freedom From Waste' Campaign at Hebbal on 1 August
Hon'ble Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and Greater Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda will launch the Freedom From Waste campaign at 9:00 AM on Saturday, 1 August, near the Kempegowda Statue, Hebbal Flyover — the first step in a citywide Just Clean Bengaluru mission.

Hon'ble Chief Minister of Karnataka Sri D.K. Shivakumar and Greater Bengaluru Development Minister Sri Krishna Byre Gowda will launch the Freedom From Waste campaign on Saturday, 1 August 2026, at 9:00 AM near the Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Statue, Hebbal Flyover (near Esteem Mall). Cabinet Ministers will also participate in the event.

The launch marks the beginning of Just Clean Bengaluru — a citywide mission to eliminate waste, restore public spaces and build lasting civic pride, taken up under the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA).
Citizens are invited to join the launch and take the first step towards a cleaner, greener and more responsible Bengaluru.
