Bengaluru North City Corporation Commissioner Shri Pommala Sunil Kumar directed officials to promptly address public grievances received during the weekly Phone-In Programme conducted on May 8. Citizens raised complaints related to road maintenance, solid waste management, parks, e-Khata services, electricity, and other civic issues.
Key Details:
- The Phone-In Programme was conducted at 7:00 AM at the Commissioner’s Office conference hall on Amruthahalli Main Road.
- Commissioner Shri Pommala Sunil Kumar personally received and reviewed complaints from citizens across various wards.
- Officials were instructed to ensure immediate response and speedy resolution of grievances.
- A total of 40 calls were received during the programme.
- Around 45 grievances were registered.
- Major complaints were related to:
Road maintenance
- Solid waste management
- Forestry issues
- e-Khata services
- Park maintenance
- Electricity-related concerns
- Since the launch of the programme on September 26:
1444 calls have been received
- 1860 grievances have been registered
- 1357 grievances have been resolved
- 356 grievances remain pending
- The Commissioner stated that the programme will continue every Friday to ensure direct public grievance redressal.
