Officials Directed to Accelerate Civic Works and Resolve Public Grievances in K.R. Puram Constituency

A progress review meeting chaired by B.A. Basavaraja, MLA, K.R. Pura Assembly Constituency, reviewed infrastructure development and civic service delivery across the constituency under the Bengaluru East City Corporation. Officials were instructed to ensure timely completion of development works, improve inter-departmental coordination, and respond promptly to public grievances.

Key Details:

• Officials were directed to prioritise infrastructure development and complete ongoing civic works within the stipulated timelines while ensuring quality execution.

• Continuous Cauvery drinking water supply and permanent solutions for drinking water shortages and drainage issues were emphasised.

• Dedicated response teams were instructed to improve monsoon preparedness, with priority given to desilting storm water drains, rajakaluves, and drainage networks.

• Executive Engineers were asked to maintain ward-wise infrastructure records and promptly repair potholes, improve road maintenance, and ensure proper functioning of streetlights.

• Daily sanitation activities and solid waste management were directed to be strengthened to prevent garbage accumulation.

• Pending Transferable Development Rights (TDR) compensation cases related to road widening and public infrastructure projects were ordered to be expedited.

• Officials were instructed to spend more time in the field, strengthen grievance redressal mechanisms, and ensure faster resolution of citizen complaints.

• Priority was given to improving public health services, veterinary hospitals, and implementing stray dog sterilisation and vaccination programmes as per Supreme Court guidelines.

• Booth Level Officers (BLOs) were instructed to actively support the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

• Subdivision-wise public interaction meetings will be organised to hear and resolve civic grievances through field inspections wherever required.
