Major Suspension in E-Khata Fraud Case

Senior official Smt. Manjula has been suspended after an investigation uncovered a large-scale e-Khata fraud involving illegal alteration of property records and unauthorized transfers of ownership documents.

Key Details:

• Investigators found that new khatas were created without proper approval or supporting documents.

• More than 75 property records were allegedly transferred fraudulently, including transfers involving names such as Girija Bai and Tejaswini G.

• The irregularities reportedly caused financial losses to the public exchequer.

• Authorities have recommended major departmental proceedings against Smt. Manjula.

• Criminal action has also been proposed for alleged offences including falsification of records, cheating, forgery, and criminal breach of trust.

• The Joint Commissioner and Commissioner have called for immediate action.
