KR Puram Zone to Auction 6 Properties Over Pending Property Tax Dues

Bengaluru East City Corporation has initiated strict action to recover long-pending property tax dues in KR Puram Zone. Six properties that have failed to pay property tax for over a year will be auctioned if dues are not cleared before the scheduled auction.

• The action was announced by Dr. Sudha, Joint Commissioner of KR Puram Zone.

• Six properties with pending property tax for more than one year have been identified for recovery action.

• The move follows provisions under the Greater Bengaluru Governance Act, 2025 and Property Tax Assessment, Collection and Management Rules, 2024.

• Property owners were previously issued:

Show-cause notices

• Property tax demand notices

• Mobile message reminders requesting payment of dues.

• Despite multiple opportunities, the dues remained unpaid, prompting the initiation of auction proceedings.

• Venue: In front of the Joint Commissioner’s Office, KR Puram Zone-2

• Members of the public are invited to participate in the auction process.

Important Clarification

• If property owners clear all pending property tax dues before the auction begins, the property will be withdrawn from the auction list.

• Property owners may submit representations to the Joint Commissioner’s Office before the scheduled auction.
