Hon’ble Governor Participates in Census-2027 Activity at Official Residence

As part of the first phase of Census-2027 operations, officials from Bengaluru Central City Corporation conducted House Listing and Housing Census activities at the official residence of the Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka on May 7, 2026.

Key Details:

• Census-2027 House Listing and Housing Census operations began on April 16, 2026.

• The exercise is being conducted within the jurisdiction of the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA).

• A team led by Bengaluru Central City Corporation Commissioner Dr. K. Harish Kumar visited the official residence of Karnataka Governor Shri Thawar Chand Gehlot.

• The Governor cooperated with enumerators and provided the required information for the census process.

• The Governor appealed to citizens to actively participate in Census-2027 and provide accurate information.

• Instructions were also issued to ensure the census process is completed accurately and within the stipulated timeline.

• Joint Commissioner Hemanth Sharan and census enumerators were present during the activity.
