Execute Major Infrastructure Projects on Schedule : Maheshwar Rao

Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao has directed officials to ensure timely execution of major infrastructure projects across Bengaluru. Weekly reviews, detailed schedules, and additional manpower have been mandated to accelerate pending works.

Key Details:

• Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao chaired a review meeting on major development projects under GBA.

• Officials were instructed to prepare project schedules and deploy adequate manpower and machinery.

• Weekly reviews will be conducted to monitor progress and improve inter-departmental coordination.

Hope Farm Junction Underpass

• Land acquisition is almost complete, with only one property pending.

• Officials have been directed to take possession and begin work immediately.

• A weekly activity schedule will be followed.

• The underpass has been targeted for completion by October 15.

• Traffic police coordination has been ordered to relocate a camera pole and complete asphalt works on the service road.

KRDCL Projects

Projects under Bengaluru East City Corporation were reviewed:

• Kadugodi Flyover

• Varthur Kodi Flyover

• Varthur Village Elevated Corridor

Officials were asked to resolve TDR and funding issues through approvals from higher authorities and ensure timely completion.

Wind Tunnel Road Project

• BWSSB pipeline shifting and other utility relocation works have been completed.

• Retaining wall construction is in progress.

• Additional manpower has been ordered to speed up the project.

Okalipuram Octagonal Corridor Project

• Rainwater drain pipe-pushing works and approach road construction are underway.

• Officials have been directed to increase workforce strength and prepare a completion schedule.

Yelahanka Flyover Project

• Additional manpower has already been deployed.

• The flyover is targeted for completion by September.

• Service road work near the police station is nearing completion.

• Necessary equipment and personnel are to be arranged immediately to begin ramp construction

Ejipura Flyover Project

• Weekly work schedules are to be prepared.

• Additional manpower and machinery will be deployed to accelerate progress.

Other Directions

• Varthur Kodi Lake Bed Road project to be completed by July 21.

• Pending issues at Big Bazaar Junction are to be resolved and flyover construction commenced at the earliest.

• Coordination among departments has been emphasized for timely execution of all projects.
