• Desilting works are underway to remove silt accumulated over the past 25 years, which will increase the lake’s depth and significantly improve water storage capacity.

• Improved storage capacity is expected to help raise surrounding groundwater levels.

• A two-level walkway with bund protection is being constructed around the lake to provide a safe and convenient path for walkers.

• Ornamental safety grills are being installed along the lake boundary to enhance public safety and aesthetic appeal.

• A connecting bridge linking the lake area with a nearby park is currently under construction.

• Development works also include the creation of a new Kalyani and other supporting infrastructure.

• The three islands inside the lake, currently in a deteriorated condition, will be reconstructed.

• With increased water depth after desilting, a section of the lake will support training activities for NDRF personnel.

• Seating arrangements will be installed for visitors and walkers.

• The park area around the lake will be enhanced through the planting of multiple plant species to improve the landscape and support biodiversity.
