The Bengaluru North City Corporation (BNCC) has launched the UB100 (Uttara Bengaluru 100) Special Cleanliness Campaign with the objective of eliminating 100 Garbage Vulnerable Points (GVPs) across the corporation limits within 45 days and converting them into clean, citizen-friendly public spaces.

The campaign was inaugurated with a sapling plantation, followed by a signature campaign with local residents and a site inspection.
Campaign Objectives
- Identify and eliminate 100 garbage hotspots across BNCC limits.
- Improve cleanliness and civic infrastructure.
- Create attractive and sustainable public spaces.
- Strengthen long-term waste management and monitoring systems.
Campaign Implementation
- Phase 1: Intensive Cleaning and Infrastructure Repairs
Removal of garbage, debris, silt and unwanted materials.
- Repair of footpaths and adjoining roads.
- Repair and enhancement of street lighting where required.
- Phase 2: Space Transformation and Beautification
Wall paintings and public art installations.
- Installation of barricades around vacant sites.
- Development of benches, planter gardens and beautification features.
- Phase 3: Vigilance and Maintenance
Day and night monitoring for a minimum of seven days.
- Measures to prevent recurring garbage dumping.
- Strengthening door-to-door waste collection and daily upkeep.
