Commissioner Issues Directions for Cleanliness and Waste Management in Bengaluru North

The Commissioner of Bengaluru North City Corporation has issuedstrict directions to improve city cleanliness, eliminate garbage black spots, and strengthen waste management practices across all divisions.

Key Details:

• All arterial and sub-arterial roads must be cleaned daily

• Complete elimination of identified garbage black spots directed

• Black spots must be cleared before 8:00 AM every day

• Geo-tagged before-and-after photos of cleaning activities to be submitted

• Street sweeping operations to be strengthened under supervision of JHIs and officials

• Waste segregation made mandatory under SWM 2026 bylaws

• Monthly segregation progress reports to be submitted by all divisions

• Special focus on maintaining cleanliness along Airport Road

• Coordination required with NHAI, BMRCL, and Railways for action plan
