Key Details:
- The Commissioner inspected the Ittamadu Lake (Chikkalasandra Lake) area following complaints about garbage dumping.
- Officials were directed to remove accumulated waste immediately.
- Surveyors were instructed to conduct a survey of the lake area.
- Directions were issued for:
Cleaning and development of the lake
- Installation of fencing
- Improved lighting arrangements
- Deployment of marshals for round-the-clock monitoring
- CCTV surveillance
Footpath Development Inspection
- The Commissioner reviewed the progress of the initiative to create 10 km of walkable footpaths in every ward within one month.
- Inspections were carried out in:
Ward 105 – Yediyuru
- Basavanagudi Assembly Constituency wards
- Officials were instructed to:
Provide steps where footpaths are significantly higher than road level to assist children and senior citizens.
- Ensure compound gates opening onto footpaths are modified to open inward to avoid pedestrian obstruction.
Hospital Visits
- Modi Hospital
Facilities and arrangements at Modi Hospital were inspected.
- Information regarding doctors, patient numbers and services was reviewed.
- Necessary directions were issued to health officers.
- BGS Multi-Specialty Hospital, Govindraj Nagar
A surprise inspection was conducted.
- They visited outpatient and inpatient departments and interacted with patients.
- Meeting with Engineers
A review meeting was held with Executive Engineers and the Assistant General Manager (Solid Waste Management) of the Govindraj Nagar division.
- Directions were issued regarding civic works and waste management.
- Marshals were also present during the meeting.
