Commissioner Directs Fast-Track Completion of Infrastructure Works Across East Corporation

Bengaluru East City Corporation Commissioner D.S. Ramesh inspected several ongoing road and infrastructure development projects and instructed officials to expedite the works. Projects under CMIDP and Amruth Nagarothana schemes are being implemented to improve mobility and reduce traffic congestion.

Yemalur Junction – Outer Ring Road Junction

• Road development works covering approximately 1.8 km from Yemalur Junction on Doddanekkundi Main Road to Outer Ring Road Junction.

• The project is being implemented under the Chief Minister’s Infrastructure Development Programme (CMIDP).

• De-silting and milling works are currently in progress.

• Officials were instructed to ensure quality construction and timely completion.

White Topping under Amruth Nagarothana

• White topping works are underway in Doddanekkundi village under the Amruth Nagarothana grant.

• Approximately 50% of the work has been completed.

• The contractor has been instructed to complete the remaining works by March 15, 2026.

Gopalan School – Goshala Road Development

• Road development works covering approximately 1.2 km from Gopalan School to Goshala Road in Doddanekkundi village.

• The project is funded under CMIDP.

• De-silting and coping concrete works are currently underway.

• Officials have been directed to expedite project execution.

Hope Farm Underpass Inspection

• The Commissioner inspected the Hope Farm Junction underpass project.

• Officials were instructed to coordinate with the Forest Department to obtain necessary approvals.

• The Executive Engineer was also directed to start works near Big Bazaar and Hoodi Circle under the same project package at the earliest.

Footpath Encroachment Removal

• During inspection at Garudachar Palya Main Road, encroachments were observed on the footpath.

• Officials were instructed to immediately remove encroachments to ensure safe and obstruction-free pedestrian movement.

• The Commissioner reiterated that the Corporation aims to reduce traffic congestion and improve urban mobility through fast-track infrastructure execution.
