Commissioner Calls for Enhanced Cleanliness in Bengaluru Central City

Bengaluru Central City Corporation Commissioner Jagadeesh G. inspected the sanitation workers‘ mustering point in Chickpet Division and directed staff to strengthen cleanliness efforts, maintain discipline and ensure efficient public service delivery.

• Commissioner Jagadeesh G. visited the sanitation workers’ mustering point in Chickpet Division on June 20.

• He interacted with sanitation workers (PKs) and reviewed their working conditions and available facilities.

• Staff were instructed to maintain greater commitment and coordination in sanitation activities.

• The Commissioner inspected the use of uniforms, gloves and other safety equipment.

• The biometric attendance system and related records were reviewed.

• A visit was conducted to the Suvidha Cabin near Sir Puttanna Chetty Town Hall, where changing rooms, toilets and other amenities for sanitation workers were inspected.

• Officials briefed the Commissioner on the functioning of sanitation workers and Junior Health Inspectors (JHIs).

• The QR code-based monitoring system for waste collection vehicles was reviewed, with instructions for effective mobile-based tracking and timely vehicle movement.

• The Commissioner also examined fingerprint and face recognition-based attendance mechanisms.

• He expressed satisfaction with the overall management practices and directed officials to maintain existing standards.
