Citizen Participation Key to Transparent Governance: Bengaluru East City

Bengaluru East City Corporation Commissioner D.S. Ramesh highlighted the importance of citizen participation in ensuring transparent, accountable and people-centric governance during a public interaction programme organised with Ward Committees and Whitefield Rising.

Key Details:

• East City Corporation outlined plans for infrastructure, flood mitigation, footpath development and solid waste management.

• A Digital Dashboard will provide real-time updates on development projects.

• Integrated coordination with agencies including BWSSB, BESCOM, KPTCL, GAIL and Traffic Police is being introduced.

• Citizens were urged to support waste segregation, report illegal constructions and participate in monitoring civic works.
