Central City Corporation Intensifies Tree Clearance After Rain and Wind Damage

The Bengaluru Central City Corporation has accelerated emergency operations to remove fallen trees and branches caused by recent heavy rain, hailstorms, and strong winds. The Forest Division is conducting continuous clearance work to ensure public safety and restore smooth vehicular movement across the city.

Key Details:

• Recent weather conditions caused multiple trees and branches to fall across Central City Corporation limits

• From April 29 to date:

136 trees fell

• 269 branches fell

• Clearance status:

All 136 fallen trees have been removed

• 264 branches have been cleared

• Remaining clearance work is in progress

• Fallen trees on roads were immediately cut and shifted to roadside to restore traffic flow

• Ongoing operations are being carried out on a priority basis by the Forest Division

• Precautionary instructions issued to identify and remove dangerous and dried trees ahead of monsoon

• Public advised to report hazardous trees and branches to officials or control room
