Central City Conducts Community Street Plays on Cleanliness Awareness

Bengaluru Central City Corporation organized “Community Street Play” awareness programs under Swachh Bharat Mission Urban 2.0 to promote waste segregation, water conservation, plastic reduction, and public cleanliness across key locations in the city.

Key Details:

• Bengaluru Central City Corporation Commissioner Rajendra Cholan appealed to citizens to support efforts towards building a clean, beautiful, and healthy Bengaluru.

• The awareness campaign focused on:

Water body conservation

• Waste segregation and scientific waste management

• Ban on single-use plastic

• Plastic recycling

• Maintaining cleanliness in public spaces

• The Commissioner stated that public participation is essential to eliminate garbage dumping black spots across the city.

• Citizens, NGOs, apartment welfare associations, and organizations were urged to collaborate with the corporation.

Community Street Play Locations:

Street plays were organized at three locations:

• Near Lalbagh West Gate, Chickpet Constituency

• Near KFC Bus Stop, Indiranagar, C.V. Raman Nagar Constituency

• Behind Church Street Metro Station, Shanthinagar Constituency

Public Participation:

• Citizens attended the programs and appreciated the awareness initiative.
