Census House-Listing Deadline Set for May 15 in Bengaluru North

Bengaluru North City Corporation (BNCC) Commissioner has directed officials to ensure 100% completion of the first phase of house-listing for Census 2027 by May 15, emphasizing accuracy, accountability, and timely execution.

Key Details:

• Commissioner Shri Pommala Sunil Kumar chaired a census progress review meeting at Yelahanka Mini Vidhana Soudha on April 28, 2026

• Officials instructed to complete 100% house-listing (first phase) by May 15, 2026

• Emphasis placed on data accuracy and avoiding duplication in house mapping

• Enumerators advised to fully understand all data fields before entry

• Honorarium payments:

Majority of socio-economic survey staff already paid

• Pending payments to remaining enumerators to be cleared soon

• 7 enumerators who took additional blocks have already received payment

• Priority payment assured for those taking extra assignments

• Disciplinary action:

Dies-Non (no work, no pay) orders issued for absentee staff

• Warning of further action if absenteeism continues

• Commissioner appreciated high-performing officials and noted overall satisfactory progress
