The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has announced a 12-hour shutdown of pumping stations under Cauvery Water Supply Stage-IV, Phase-I to carry out emergency repair works on a major pipeline. Water supply will be disrupted in the affected areas on Wednesday, 22 July 2026.
Key Details:
- Reason: Emergency repairs to arrest leakage in the 200 mm Air Valve and Sluice Valve installed on the 1200 mm diameter Cauvery Water Supply Stage-IV, Phase-I pipeline.
- Shutdown Duration: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Date: Wednesday, 22 July 2026
- Impact: Cauvery water supply will be temporarily disrupted in the affected areas served by Stage-IV, Phase-I pumping stations.
- Residents are advised to store sufficient water in advance to meet essential household needs during the shutdown period.
