BSCC Commissioner Reviews Lake Conservation Measures in Parappana Agrahara, Haralur and Kudlu

Bengaluru South City Corporation (BSCC) Commissioner K.N. Ramesh inspected Parappana Agrahara Lake, Haralur Lake, and Kudlu Doddakere Lake in the Bommanahalli area and directed officials to take immediate steps to prevent sewage contamination, expedite underground drainage works, and prepare a comprehensive development plan for the lakes.

• The Commissioner directed Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) officials to accelerate ongoing Underground Drainage (UGD) pipeline works.

• Early completion of UGD projects was emphasized to stop sewage discharge into the lakes.

• BSCC officials were instructed to work closely with BWSSB for lake protection measures.

Lake Development Plan

The Commissioner instructed officials to prepare and submit a Detailed Project Report (DPR) covering comprehensive development of:

• Parappana Agrahara Lake

• Haralur Lake

• Kudlu Doddakere Lake

• Proposed works include:

Lake fencing

• Retaining wall construction

• Infrastructure improvements
