BNCC Reviews Solid Waste Management and Black Spot Clearance Progress

The Bengaluru North City Corporation (BNCC) conducted a review meeting on June 23 under the chairmanship of Commissioner Shri Pommala Sunil Kumar to assess solid waste management, black spot clearance, staff attendance, and related administrative matters. Directions were issued to strengthen monitoring, enforce waste segregation rules, and expedite pending benefits for families of deceased pourakarmikas.

  • Waste collection operations across the city were reviewed.
  • Notices have been issued to drivers and helper staff who failed to report for duty at 5:30 AM, and repeated negligence among contractual staff may lead to termination.
  • DGMs and AGMs were instructed to submit GPS locations and photographs of Auto Mustering Centres and Pourakarmika Mustering Centres through WhatsApp for monitoring.
