The Bengaluru North City Corporation (BNCC) conducted a comprehensive review meeting on monsoon preparedness, maintenance activities, storm water drain desilting, waste management, road maintenance, and pending infrastructure works under the chairmanship of Commissioner Shri Pommala Sunil Kumar.

Storm Water Drain Desilting:
- Officials were instructed to complete desilting of all storm water drains and canals before the onset of monsoon.
- The Commissioner noted that garbage and silt accumulation were obstructing rainwater flow and causing inconvenience to the public.
Waste Management Measures
- BNCC directed officials to clear roadside garbage and waste heaps across corporation limits.
- Commercial establishments were instructed to ensure proper disposal of waste generated from their premises.
- Measures were discussed to prevent waste accumulation in major storm water drains.
Road Maintenance
- Officials were directed to prioritise maintenance of arterial and sub-arterial roads to prevent rainwater stagnation during monsoon.
- Instructions were issued to maintain roads across corporation limits in clean and usable condition.
Jakkur Flyover Works:
- The Commissioner directed officials to expedite the ongoing Jakkur flyover works on priority basis.
Dangerous Buildings and Damaged Roads:
- Officials were instructed to identify:

- Departments were directed to issue notices to concerned owners or authorities to prevent public safety risks.
Climate Change and Disaster Preparedness
- Discussions were held regarding scientific studies on the use of special paints on government buildings to reduce heat impacts caused by climate change.
- Officials were instructed to attend the upcoming Climate Change and Disaster Management Action Plan meeting with complete preparedness.
