Bengaluru North City Intensifies Dengue Prevention Measures Across All Wards

The Bengaluru North City Corporation (BNCC) has intensified dengue prevention and vector control measures across all wards during the monsoon season to curb the spread of dengue and other mosquito-borne diseases. The initiative is being implemented under the direction of Commissioner Shri Pommala Sunil Kumar.

• A total of 46 dengue cases have been reported within BNCC limits since May 2026.

Public Advisory

Residents are advised to:

• Prevent water stagnation in and around homes and workplaces.

• Empty, clean, and cover water storage containers at least once every week.

• Properly dispose of unused tyres, coconut shells, bottles, and other waste that can collect rainwater.

• Use mosquito repellents, wear full-sleeved clothing, and use mosquito nets.

• Seek immediate medical attention if symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, body pain, nausea, or skin rashes develop, and avoid self-medication.
