Bengaluru North City Corporation (BNCC) has issued a new office order assigning additional responsibilities to Health Supervisors and Senior Health Inspectors under the Public Health Division to strengthen solid waste management across its jurisdiction.
Key Details:
- BNCC Commissioner Shri Pommala Sunil Kumar has issued an official order effective immediately.
- Health Supervisors and Senior Health Inspectors in Zone-1 and Zone-2 are directed to enforce compliance on waste segregation and disposal.
- Daily morning inspections will be conducted at commercial establishments, shops, and bulk waste generators.
- Violations will lead to notices and penalties as per regulations.
- Strict action will be taken against roadside dumping by hotels, eateries, and vendors.
- Marshals and Junior Health Inspectors will assist in enforcement and awareness activities.
- Under the “Own Your Footpath” initiative, establishments must maintain cleanliness and prevent encroachments on footpaths.
- Bulk waste generators misusing door-to-door collection systems will face penalties.
- Weekly field performance reviews will be conducted by Health Officers, with mandatory reporting.
- Disciplinary action will be taken against negligent officials or staff.
