Bengaluru North City Corporation (BNCC) conducted a comprehensive review meeting on draft action plans prepared under the “Budget to Action” workshop. The meeting focused on sustainable urban development initiatives including active mobility, climate action, lake rejuvenation, public space enhancement and pedestrian infrastructure across BNCC limits.

- The review meeting was held at the Office of the Commissioner on May 20 under the chairmanship of BNCC Commissioner Shri Pommala Sunil Kumar.
- Discussions covered:
Active Mobility projects
- Climate Action Plan
- Lake development initiatives
- Bamboo City Project
- Solar system installation on government buildings
- Park development
- Enhancement of public spaces
- Special emphasis was placed on developing:
10-kilometre-long walkable footpaths in every ward
- Obstruction-free and pedestrian-friendly pathways
- Various organisations presented:
- Project proposals
- Action plans
- Cost estimates
- Participating organisations included:

- WRI India facilitated the stakeholder discussions.
- The Commissioner stated that:
Approximately ₹25 lakh would be allocated to each Executive Engineer under the “Action Plan” initiative.
- Funds could be utilised for implementing suitable proposals submitted by organisations.
- BNCC directed all departments to:
Prepare action plans on priority basis
- Complete planned works by December 2026
- Participate in monthly review meetings for progress monitoring
- Instructions were also issued to form domain-specific working groups for better coordination between organisations and engineering teams.
