Bengaluru Central City Corporation Launches Mega Cleanliness Drive for Swachh Survekshan 2025–26

The Bengaluru Central City Corporation will launch a mega cleanliness drive starting March 17, 2026, as part of preparations for the Swachh Survekshan 2025–26 rankings. The initiative aims to improve sanitation, remove accumulated waste from public areas, and strengthen coordinated civic action across departments.

• Cleaning around major stormwater drains

• Waste removal around lakes

• Cleaning around public toilets

• Waste clearance around markets

• Cleaning road dividers and traffic islands

• Cleaning identified Red and Yellow sanitation spots

• Waste removal around slum areas

• Cleaning government schools and colleges, including campus premises

• Writing Swachh Bharat campaign slogans on compound walls of public toilets and government buildings

Coordinated Implementation

• Divisional Assistant General Managers have been instructed to oversee implementation.

• Coordination will involve officials from multiple departments, including:

Engineering

• Forest

• Horticulture

• Stormwater Drain

• Lakes Department

The order was issued by Development Additional Commissioner Daljit Kumar to ensure coordinated implementation of the campaign.
