Bengaluru East City Corporation Commissioner D.S. Ramesh has directed officials to prepare a comprehensive plan for buffer road development, rajakaluve protection, and flood mitigation following a site inspection covering key locations between the Bellandur Waste Weir/Outlet and Virginia Mall near Old Airport Road.

- Land acquisition requirements

- Flood mitigation measures
- A joint survey involving relevant departments will be conducted to:
Identify original rajakaluve and lake boundaries based on revenue records
- Demarcate land required for acquisition
- Install boundary stones where necessary
- The proposed comprehensive plan will include:
Buffer road connectivity with the Outer Ring Road
- Railway overbridges where required
- Elevated bridges
- Retaining walls
- Preservation of the original rajakaluve width.
- Additional engineering measures for urban flood management
- Officials have been directed to coordinate with BWSSB, GAIL India, the Revenue Department, the Department of Land Records, and other agencies to complete land acquisition within a defined timeline.
