BCCC Directs Urgent Execution of SIP and CMIDP Works Ahead of Monsoon

The Bengaluru Central City Corporation (BCCC) has directed engineering officials to prioritize and expedite infrastructure works under SIP and CMIDP, focusing on stormwater drain desilting, pothole filling, and footpath repairs ahead of the monsoon.

Key Details:

• Review meeting chaired by Additional Commissioner (Development) Daljit Kumar on March 24

• Instructions issued to prioritize works under:

Special Infrastructure Plan (SIP)

• Chief Minister’s Infrastructure Development Programme (CMIDP)

• Works to be taken up across six assembly constituencies under BCCC limits

• Emphasis on early completion of all ongoing infrastructure works

Monsoon Preparedness Measures:

• Immediate desilting of stormwater drains on both sides of roads

• Ensuring smooth rainwater flow to prevent waterlogging

• Redevelopment of drains where required

• Repair of damaged footpath slabs

Road Safety Measures:

• Identification of potholes on arterial and sub-arterial roads

• Immediate pothole filling to ensure safe public movement
