- Media reports dated 29-04-2026 claimed that ₹1 lakh was spent per pothole in Chamrajapet division.
- Authorities clarified that:
A total grant of ₹105 lakh has been allocated for 7 wards in Chamrajapet division.
- Each ward received ₹15 lakh for pothole repair works.
- Tenders for pothole repairs were issued at the subdivision level, with work orders effective from 27-05-2025 for a one-year period.
- As per legislative query (Question No. 1367):
350 potholes had been filled at the time of reporting.
- No fixed per-pothole cost was submitted.
- Payments are made based on Schedule of Rates (SR) and contractor-quoted rates.
- The work order remains valid until May 2026, and pothole repairs will continue until the contract period ends.
