The Chief Commissioner has directed officials to complete all ongoing asphalt road works in Bengaluru West and South City Corporations by the end of May, alongside strengthening monsoon preparedness and introducing a project monitoring dashboard.

- All asphalt (road surfacing) works across Bengaluru West and South City Corporations must be completed by end of May
- Works include:
Arterial and sub-arterial roads
- Ward-level roads
- Footpaths and drainage systems
- Officials instructed to:
Personally inspect completed road works for quality
- Closely monitor ongoing works for timely completion
Project Monitoring Dashboard:
- A centralized dashboard will be developed for real-time monitoring
- Daily uploads required:
RFIs (Requests for Inspection)
- Quality certificates
- Work progress photographs
Monsoon Preparedness Measures:
- Priority for:
Footpath completion
- Drainage infrastructure
- Identification of waterlogging-prone areas
- Immediate actions (within 2 days):
Desilting drains
- Cleaning shoulder drains
- Clearing waste
Tree and Debris Clearance:
- Fallen trees and branches to be cleared immediately
- Additional private teams to be deployed on a rental basis
Lake Development Plan:
- Identification of lakes within South City Corporation limits
- Preparation of a comprehensive development action plan
Additional Instructions:
- Mandatory installation of:
Safety measures
- Proper signage at work sites
- Prevention of unnecessary ramps and steps on footpaths
- Contractors instructed to clear post-work debris promptly
