The Bengaluru Central City Corporation has issued a strict directive to all appointed Census–2027 enumerators and supervisors to report for duty immediately. Disciplinary and legal action will be taken against those failing to comply.

4,068 Enumerators
- 518 Supervisors
- All personnel have already received training and official appointment orders.
- Notices have been issued to staff absent from training sessions.
- Staff who attended training but failed to report to assigned census blocks are directed to immediately resume duties.
- Census work includes house-listing and enumeration within assigned wards and supervisory circles.
Disciplinary Provisions:
- Action will be taken under Section 11 of the Census Act, 1948
- Penalties include:
Fine up to ₹1,000
- Imprisonment up to 3 years
- Absence treated as Dies-Non
- Departmental disciplinary action
- Possible legal proceedings

- Census–2027 is classified as a matter of national importance.
- All staff must report to respective charge officers without delay.
- Strict compliance and timely completion of census duties has been mandated.
