Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of Namma Ward™, operated by Paperless Private Limited. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them.

Pending legal review. This document describes how NammaWard actually handles data today. It has not yet been reviewed by a qualified legal practitioner and should be verified against the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the IT Rules before being relied upon as a binding notice.
The platform
Namma Ward™ is an independent civic and community information platform for Bengaluru. It is not a government website and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated on behalf of the Greater Bengaluru Authority, any city corporation, government department, political party or elected representative unless expressly stated.
Your account
- You must provide accurate registration details, including a working mobile number and email address, and keep them up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity that happens under your account.
- Usernames that impersonate our staff, government bodies or the platform itself are reserved and cannot be registered.
- You must be old enough to enter into a contract under Indian law to hold an account.
Content you submit
You keep ownership of what you post. By submitting content you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it on the platform for the purpose of running the service.
You agree not to submit content that:
- is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful or threatening;
- infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
- discloses another person's personal information without their consent;
- is knowingly false, misleading or impersonates another person;
- is spam, advertising or an attempt to manipulate the platform;
- contains malware or attempts to compromise the platform.
Moderation
Community submissions — including posts, event proposals, announcements and Lost & Found notices — may be reviewed before publication. We may edit, decline, remove or take down content, and suspend or terminate accounts, where we consider it necessary to protect the platform or comply with the law.
Publication does not indicate that we endorse a person, organisation, opinion, event or claim.
Civic information and grievances
Information on the platform is provided for general awareness. While we aim to keep it accurate and to attribute sources, we cannot guarantee that every listing, contact detail or update is current or complete.
Namma Ward™ does not replace official government grievance systems. Raising a matter here does not constitute filing an official complaint with any authority, and we cannot guarantee that any authority will act on it. For emergencies, contact the relevant emergency service directly.
Lost & Found
Lost & Found notices are posted by residents and published with the contact details the poster chose to share. We do not verify the accuracy of notices or the identity of people who respond to them. Exercise ordinary caution when arranging to meet or exchange property with someone you do not know.
Availability
The platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time, and we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paperless Private Limited is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform, from content submitted by other users, or from any action or inaction of a third party contacted through the platform.
Privacy
Our handling of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form part of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the version stamp at the top of this page, and we may ask you to confirm your acceptance again.
