Officer

The officer's name and a postal address must be published here before launch — both are required disclosures.

What you can raise

  • Content that breaches our Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Content that infringes your rights, including copyright.
  • Your personal information appearing on the platform without your consent.
  • Requests about your own data — a summary of what we hold, correction, or erasure.
  • Withdrawal of your consent to our processing of your data.
  • A moderation decision you believe was wrong.
  • Factual errors in civic information — offices, contacts, projects.

How to raise it

For a published post, use the report control on the post itself — that routes it straight into the moderation queue. For everything else, email contact@nammaward.in with:

  • your name and the email or mobile registered with your account;
  • a link to the page or content concerned;
  • what the problem is, and what outcome you are seeking;
  • for a rights or copyright claim, enough detail for us to verify you are the person affected.

How long we take

  • Acknowledgement — within 24 hours of receiving your complaint.
  • Resolution — within 15 days of receipt, in line with the IT Rules, 2021.
  • Content that endangers someone, or non-consensual intimate imagery — acted on as a priority, and within 24 hours of a valid report.
  • Data-protection requests — access, correction, erasure or withdrawal of consent — actioned within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

If we need more information from you to act, we will say so in the acknowledgement, and the clock runs from when you supply it.

Your data-protection rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to obtain a summary of your personal data and how it is processed, to have it corrected or completed, to have it erased, to nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated, and to raise a grievance. Several of these you can exercise yourself from your profile settings; for the rest, write to the Grievance Officer above. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

If you are not satisfied

If we have not resolved your data-protection complaint, or you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may escalate it to the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We ask that you raise it with us first so we have the opportunity to put it right.

Emergencies

This channel is monitored during business hours and is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact the police or emergency services directly.
