✅ 2% Reservation Across Categories
The reservation will apply within General Merit, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes categories in direct recruitment.
✅ Who Qualifies as a Sports Achiever?
A candidate must:
- Be domiciled in Karnataka for at least 10 years.
- Have represented Karnataka in at least one National Championship or National Games.
- Have participated in recognized National or International sporting events, either individually or as part of a team.
✅ 34 Recognized Sports Included
The list covers major disciplines such as Athletics, Cricket, Football, Hockey, Kabaddi, Chess, Swimming, Tennis, Volleyball, Wrestling, Boxing, Shooting, Weightlifting and several others.
✅ Performance-Based Weightage Marks
Sports achievers will receive weightage marks based on their highest achievement. Olympic and Paralympic medalists receive the highest weightage, followed by achievements in Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, World Championships, National Games and National Championships.
✅ Merit Calculation
For recruitments involving examinations, 50% of the marks obtained in the qualifying or competitive examination will be combined with the sports weightage marks to determine merit under the sports quota.
