During inspections at Bannerghatta Road and Shalini Grounds in Jayanagar, officials reviewed monsoon preparedness equipment, emergency response teams, and ongoing road repair works.

- Monsoon preparedness parades are being conducted across all city corporations under the directions of Deputy Chief Minister and Bengaluru City Development Minister Shri D.K. Shivakumar.

- Shalini Playground, Jayanagar
- The preparedness parade was jointly conducted by Jayanagar and Padmanabhanagar divisions under Bengaluru South City Corporation.

- Safety gear including gloves and gumboots
Special Instructions on Cleanliness
Officials were directed to:
- Clear roadside drains and gratings
- Remove accumulated waste near roads
- Repair damaged footpath slabs and curb stones
- Maintain cleanliness across corporation limits
Bannerghatta Road Repair Works
The Chief Commissioner also inspected ongoing BWSSB pipeline works near IIM on Bannerghatta Road.
Directions Issued:
- Complete road repair works within 10 days
- Ensure quality reconstruction of damaged road stretches
- Prevent sewage discharge into roadside drains
- Repair open footpath slabs for pedestrian safety
- Complete asphalting after BWSSB work concludes
Traffic disruptions had been reported due to delayed reconstruction and road cave-ins in completed sections.
