The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has announced the upcoming launch of an online khata correction facility, aimed at improving transparency, reducing delays, and enabling citizens to update property records more efficient
Key Details:
- Citizens will soon be able to correct khata details online without procedural delays
- Corrections allowed for all fields except:
Owner’s name
- Property measurements
- Editable details include:
Location
- Ward number
- Other property-related information
- Over 25 lakh draft khata applications submitted online
- More than 10 lakh final e-Khata already issued
- Final e-Khata issued within an average of 5 days when records are complete
- Over 1,000 applications received daily
- One e-Khata issued every 30 seconds on average
Rejection Audit & Corrections:
- A Rejection Audit Team has been formed
- Reviewing rejected applications
- Unfair rejections are being revoked
Automatic Mutation System:
- Introduced to reduce delays in property mutation
- Property transactions at Sub-Registrar offices will be auto-updated
- Mutation completed after mandatory notice period
- SMS confirmation sent to citizens after 7 days
- Automatic mutation also being implemented for inheritance cases
