The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) is continuously implementing measures to strengthen healthcare services across the five city corporations, Chief Commissioner M. Maheshwar Rao said during the National Doctors’ Day celebrations held by the GBA–City Corporations Officers and Employees Welfare Association.

- Chief Commissioner M. Maheshwar Rao stated that improving healthcare infrastructure and medical services remains a priority across all five city corporations under the GBA.
- He emphasized that a healthy society depends on an effective healthcare system, improved public health indicators, quality nutrition, and continued advancements in modern medicine.
- Rao highlighted the need for well-equipped hospitals and the continued support of medical professionals to ensure quality healthcare services for citizens.
- The event marked National Doctors’ Day and included the presentation of the Dhanvantari Awards to doctors, health officers, medical superintendents, and healthcare professionals for their dedicated service.
- Central City Corporation Commissioner G. Jagadish noted that National Doctors’ Day is observed in memory of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy and appreciated the exceptional service rendered by doctors during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also called for collective efforts to upgrade corporation hospitals into modern, high-tech healthcare facilities.
- Special Commissioner Venkatachalapathi praised doctors for their dedication during the pandemic and acknowledged their commitment to public service.
