GBA Plans Public Consultation for ORR Redevelopment Design

Greater Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda said the design for the Comprehensive Outer Ring Road (ORR) redevelopment project will be finalized after consulting local residents.

Key Details:

• The project covers the stretch from Silk Board Junction to Baiyappanahalli Metro Station.

• A site inspection was conducted from Lorry Junction to Iblur Junction.

• The ORR is proposed to be redeveloped at an estimated cost of ₹400–450 crore.

• Public consultation will be held before the final design is approved and development works begin.

• An encroachment eviction drive on ORR footpaths, including Whitefield Main Road, is also part of the initiative.
