GBA Directs Faster Distribution of Voter Revision Forms and Completion of Digitisation

District Election Officer and Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao instructed election officials to speed up the distribution of voter revision forms and complete digitisation within the prescribed timeline during a review meeting held in Bengaluru on 8 July.

Officials were directed to:

• Expedite the distribution of the remaining voter verification forms.

• Ensure the digitisation process is completed efficiently and on schedule.

• Strengthen monitoring of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) by Electoral Registration Officers.

• Encourage Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to assist BLOs in identifying households and reaching voters.

• Seek continued cooperation from all recognised political parties to complete the Special Summary Revision within the stipulated timeframe.

House Sticker System

Election officials stated that:

• Purple stickers are being placed on houses where voter forms have been distributed.

• Red stickers are being placed on houses where residents were unavailable, along with the date of the next visit.

• Officials will make up to three visits to households where voters are initially unavailable.

Form Distribution Progress

• Central Division: 9,62,833 forms distributed (50.95%)

• North Division: 11,90,491 forms distributed (51.04%)

• South Division: 9,91,270 forms distributed (46.22%)

• Bengaluru City: 19,47,962 forms distributed (48.44%)

Overall Progress: 50,92,556 forms distributed (49.02%)
