Expedite Hulimavu Lake Development Work, Directs Special Commissioner Sushma Godbole

The Special Commissioner of the FECC Division of the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA), Sushma Godbole, inspected Hulimavu Lake and directed officials to accelerate ongoing development works, complete the sewage treatment plant, and prevent sewage discharge into the lake. She also reviewed flood-prone areas around Arekere Lake and instructed departments to take precautionary measures ahead of the monsoon.

• A public information board displaying details of ongoing works has been ordered to be installed at the site.

• Flood-prone areas around Arekere Lake were inspected following recent rains.

• Officials were directed to undertake precautionary measures to avoid flooding during the monsoon season.

• Immediate shifting of optical fibre cables and BESCOM electricity lines obstructing road and stormwater drain (Rajakaluve) works was also ordered.
