Daily Waste Management Reporting Made Mandatory by Central Corporation

Bengaluru Central Corporation Commissioner Rajendra Cholan has directed officials to submit daily reports on waste management and ensure stricter monitoring, accountability, and clearance of waste black spots.

Key Details:

• Daily reporting on waste management has been made mandatory for all officials

• Identification and clearance of waste black spots has been prioritised

• Instructions issued to ensure permanent elimination of recurring garbage points

• Deputy General Managers (DGM) and Assistant General Managers (AGM) to monitor sanitation staff performance at street level

• Non-performing officials and staff may face transfer and disciplinary action

• Door-to-door waste collection through auto tippers to be strictly followed at scheduled times

• Public awareness campaigns to be intensified to discourage roadside dumping

• Residents encouraged to hand over waste directly to collection vehicles

• Joint Commissioners of Zone 1 & 2 instructed to conduct field inspections and submit reports regularly
