Bengaluru East Proposes Single-Window Citizen Assistance Centre

Bengaluru East City Corporation is considering a Citizen Assistance Centre that would receive civic applications and complaints at one location, route them to the responsible departments and monitor each case until resolution.

Commissioner D.S. Ramesh chaired a meeting at the Mahadevapura zonal office on the proposed technology-enabled system. The proposal covers complaints involving property tax, town planning, roads, solid waste, health, horticulture, electricity, TDR and stormwater drains.

Each application would receive a unique acknowledgement number, while supporting documents would be scanned and stored digitally. The proposal also includes a 24-hour control room, time-bound responsibility for officers, citizen feedback after resolution and a monitoring dashboard for senior officers.

The corporation said the objective is to reduce repeated office visits, improve transparency and ensure that complaints remain under monitoring until citizens receive a satisfactory resolution.
