Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has directed officials to complete all ongoing road works, including black topping and white topping, across Bengaluru by the end of April. Multiple civic initiatives, including property tax enforcement, street vendor welfare, and waste management measures, were also announced at the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) office.

Road Development
- ₹5,065 crore spent so far on Bengaluru road development.
- ₹2,671 crore road works initiated in the last 3 months:
₹420 crore for Outer Ring Road (2 packages)
- ₹1,000 crore for ward roads (82 packages)
- ₹1,241 crore under Karnataka Government grants (81 packages)
- 80% tenders already called.
- In the previous year:
389 km black topping – ₹694 crore
- White topping – ₹1,700 crore
- ₹1,600 crore World Bank-supported canal link lining project tendered and work commenced.
- Daily progress monitoring with photo documentation instructed.
GBA & Corporation Decisions
- GBA logo finalized; to be officially released.
- Model corporation building finalized in South Corporation.
- Officials instructed to begin works without waiting for ceremonial events.
Property & e-Khata Updates
- 10 lakh properties scanned.
- e-Khata distribution planned on the third Sunday of April.
- B-Khata to A-Khata conversion underway; around 7,000 applications received.
- GPS mapping verification causing procedural delays.
- All revenue-layout roads converted into corporation roads.
Street Vendor Welfare
- 30,000 street vendors registered.
- Pushcarts, three-wheelers, and four-wheel vehicles to be distributed.
- ID cards and vehicles to be issued within 2 months.
- Vendors encouraged to operate through vehicles instead of footpaths.
TDR & Business Corridor
- Dedicated centre to process TDR applications under Bengaluru Business Corridor project.
- Site inspection and TDR issuance within 2–3 days of application.
- Further details on TDR exchange to be issued in 2 weeks.
Property Tax Enforcement
- 80% of long-pending defaulters are commercial property owners.
- 7–8 years of unpaid taxes in some cases.
- OTS scheme benefited 2.65 lakh taxpayers.
- ₹1,200 crore collected under OTS.
- Properties of major defaulters being auctioned.
